Green Township – Zoning Ordinance Amendment

The Green Township Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Thursday, November 5, 2020, at 7 pm to recommend adoption of zoning ordinance amendments relating to Medical Marihuana Primary Caregivers to the Township Board.  The public hearing will be held at Green Township Hall at 14621 M-32 in Lachine, Michigan.  The full text of the amendments is available at the Green Township Hall, online at www.discovernortheastmichigan.org/zoning.asp or by contacting or sending written comments to Mike Torok, Planning Chairman, 14701 Black Road, Lachine, Michigan  49753.   The public may appear at the public hearing in person or by counsel.  The proposed amendments modify the Green Township Zoning Ordinance regulations in Section 5.11 (Table of Uses Permitted by Right and Special Land Uses) to remove Medical Marihuana Primary Caregivers from Table 5.11 and to modify Section 9.22 (Medical Marihuana Primary Caregivers) to state that they are allowed in all districts, that no more than two are allowed per lot, and that commercial medical and recreational (adult-use) marihuana facilities or marihuana establishments are prohibited. “
